Good Evening Everyone - Today was another day of working on getting home. Bo got to spend some more time today with Addi and the family. He is really anxious to get home. He really wants to anything and everything that he needs to do to go home. It appears, we will know more on Monday, that Bo's infection is clearing up. If that happens then we will set the game plan to going off the vent. There is a little bit on a conundrum (hehehe) They are still wanting to move Bo to the 7th floor, the pulmonary rehab floor. If he goes there, there is new doctors and a new protocol which means he might have to start over and do things their way. But it takes a while to get a room on that floor. So in the meantime we are hopefully going to run the same course on the 3rd floor and work on getting home. The problem is if Bo goes back to step-down then it will be harder to get a room on the 7th floor, but we might have a better chance of going home sooner. I am not sure what to wish for other than the healthiest way home. Bo still has to go back through the anxiety of going off the vent, please pray that he can do it one more time (or as many times needed)
Love to all
Christi, Addi and Bo
PS Thank you so much Ms. Alyce and Mr. Vince, we greatly appreciate your kind thoughts and tons of stickers!

Christi,Mr.Bo,Addi-First of all,we could not have our days completed, if we did not have your daily blog. The closure can be laughter, tears, double the prayers, direct line to GOD. Christi you are never at a loss for putting the words together. And we knew for years this was your "gift".We just need to tell you God has let you shine. Our priest Fr. Jerry said when it comes to Bo,think of the little train,"I think I can,I think I can". But put Bo's version in there of "I know I can, I know I can". This is how he sees BO.I thought of this tonight, coming off the ventilator one more time. Love Uncle Leon and Aunt Marilyn.

Christi, Bo, and Addi,
Stay positive. I know Bo is ready to be home as I know you and Addi are, too. On the positve side, you are all together at Duke and that has to be helping.
We will continue to send you love, hugs, prayers, and laughter.
Love, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jeff

Hi Bo,

My name is Justin Guild and I’m a graduate research assistant currently working with Dr. Jeong-Nam Kim at Purdue University on a health communication study.

Specifically, our research explores how information sharing behavior through online communities (such as blogs) influences coping strategies among people with chronic conditions including cancer, diabetes, depression, etc. and their family members.

I’m contacting you to seek permission to place a link to our online web survey on your blog to invite readers and other visitors to participate. The survey is purely academic in nature and takes no longer than 5-7 minutes to complete.

The web survey can be found by clicking on this link: http://www.createsurvey.com/c/70237-Os3LDl/

The findings of this study could lead to better management capacities of chronic diseases as well as an increase in funding for research related to online communities.

If possible, we would be very appreciative if you could please forward the link to the web survey to other people you may know with chronic conditions.

If you have any questions, or would like additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at jguild@purdue.edu.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Justin Guild

Mr. Bo,
You already slapped the big C around like the punk that it is.
Final score =
Bo - 1
Punk Cancer - 0
Maybe the damn infections will realize who they are messing with and quit wasting everone's time. Will treat them like the French relay team got treated last night by Phelps and Co.

Will be praying for your continued strength.

Keep the head up. Eyes on the prize.

Jay
