Hello Christi again. I apologize for posting so late. They finished the procedure late tonight and it didn't do the miracle we all wanted. Bo is still stable but the doctors would like the fluid level in the lungs to be decreasing quicker. They are going to watch him of course all night very cautiously in hopes that after some rest we might get our miracle and the fluid levels will decrease at the rate and volume they want. (I think we are almost wanting him to getting better at the same pace, but trust me I want him a little bit faster than the doctors do, but they must have a sweet spot for him)
What I am going to say now sounds scary and will be a complete shock (for that is where I am) but they are also going to re list him for another lung transplant (I think I am going to vomit- but we can all do this, stay strong everyone and pray your hardest tonight and tomorrow) Crazy I know, unheard of I know, but it lungs come forward to him and the doctors think this is the best option, I will be in the surgery room waiting and updating you all. This is an option because I think Bo other organs are still doing so well that they have pinpointed the problem to the lungs and the damage that might have occurred with the swelling, please bare with me if my explanation is a little off. All I heard the doctor say is that we are going to re list him and then the rest turned to Charlie Brown (wawawawa) shock! But I am turning this over to God and trust that this is the miracle we all wanted, I trust that Bo can withstand this, I trust the doctors and I trust you all to help guide me, Addi and Bo through this journey. Please keep believing in him and my entire family because no one is giving up and I made the doctors pinky swear.
We can all do this stay strong, sorry if I do not talk personally with everyone, but I am on an edge and I am standing strong, but I am just not sure where my limits might be.
I love you all,
Everyone Kiss my Girl because my heart is breaking because she is enduring this with all of us.
I hope to post soon
Love
Christi, Addi and Bo

Christi,
I was just emailing a friend whose father was recently diagnosed with cancer and had emergency surgery - I was sending him Bo's blog for inspiration. I just came back and hit refresh for some reason and saw your post.

You are amazing. Keep up that strong spirit. Keep believing, and imagine Bo's body healing. The fact that the doctors are willing to re-list him is HUGE, and Bo is a fighter like no other. You are right to "let go and let God" as they say.

You guys have moved me and my family so much, and you deserve so much. Our hearts are with you.

Christi and Bo - Thank you so much for sharing your life with all of us - I can never imagine what you are facing or how I would feel in your situtation - I just know that we all are on "Team Bo", "Team Christi" and "Team Johnson" . You have given us all a gift and that gift is the appreciation of the love of an awesome family and determination to stay together and fight for a life together. Your famly has touched so many people and given us something to believe in. You guys are so strong and Bo is doing what he said he wanted to do in one of his first post and that is create a legend - The Johnson family is a legend in my eyes no matter what. My heart cries for you Christi and I know Bo will fight this because that is who he is and what he wants - What can I do to HELP! Pinky swears are the ultimate promises so you should be good to go :)! You have my prayers all day and night!

Bo and Christi and family:
Keep your faith in the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ. So many people are praying and pulling for you, including the doctors, and the power of prayer is an awesome thing. I believe in my heart that Bo is the one that will make a difference in a lot of cancer patients' treatments and outlook. He is strong and determined, and so is the entire family. Keep holding onto your faith and prayers, and we'll all be praying right along with you for him to get through this and be the whole person he was before. My heart is breaking for you and Addi to have to sit on the outside and wait and wonder, but stay as strong as you can for Bo. I'm praying for you too.
Love,

Christi,

You are such a rock and I have no idea how you are handling all this. My heart just broke as a read your post from last night. I am with you, at this point, you have to leave everything up to God and know that he has a plan for all of this. My money is on Bo and I truly believe he will be back with us very soon. Constant love and prayer are coming your way - Elizabeth

Christi - You are an amazing woman! Your strength is remarkable. With Bo's determination and you and the team behind him he is sure to beat this! I have to believe that putting him on the transplant list again is still positive. The doctors wouldn't want to give him another set of lungs if they didn't believe in their heart of hearts that he is going to win! Keep the faith! We are all here for you!

Hey Sister,

I don't know how you are keeping it together..You're amazing...and stubborn. I believe Bo too, is as stubborn as you and will never give up this fight. I have been thinking about Bo, You, and Addi everyday. So many people are thinking of you, thoughts and prayers. My fellow construction workers are aboard and sending positive thoughts your way. So please stay positive and stay stubborn and I and everyone else will keeping praying. I miss you, Bo, and Addi. I miss my best friend, but I am glad she is at Duke with you and Bo.

Just last night Ryan told me "Don't worry, Uncle Bo is going to be okay, he's not going to be sick." I truely believe innocent children have a special connection with God...

With Love- Curtis & Ryan, KS.
