Another late post, but necessary for your prayers. While we felt good about Bo coming out of the 2nd transplant today, his blood pressure remains very low tonight. We need the blood pressure to come up so they may perform a perfusion test on his lungs. Normally this would have happened by now to test to see how the new lungs are working, but due to the low blood pressure the doctors have not been able to do this yet. Please pray this rises. Additionally, we need him to produce urine. After surgery the doctors removed him from dialysis for a short time but placed him back on this evening. Once they see good urine flow, then we can move away from dialysis.

Bo is fighting and with your prayers we will conquer this. Your support, thoughts, and comments have meant so much to the family so please continue to build their strength. I see first hand how your comments nourish the entire family’s heart so please keep the support coming!

We’ll post any updates as they are available.

Brian

God Bless those and the families of those who choose to be organ doners. None if this would be possible without the gift of life from others.

Lets pray Bo can keep winning these little battles and win this war.

Bo,

I'm betting that brain of yours is probably marketing a plan to your inner organs to "hurry it up" - Practice patience; for your hopes will be heard, your strength will be felt, and soon He will help you to heal! Keep fighting, hang in there and never give up!!!

I check the blog as often as I can to see any updates. I have to thank Brian for keeping us posted so we don't all go crazy and I thank everyone else for all the support they have given to my sister and to Bo. They are both wonderful people and so very strong. Keep fighting the good fight and we all look forward to the next blog.

Bo, Christi and Addi,

Christ is before you, Christ is behind you and Christ is beside you....with so so many others. My wife Pat and I met you all several months ago, who has Stage IV NSCLC and we are now doing a extensive clinical trial in Boston at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which for the first time seems to be making a difference. I know first hand that God will open doors for you to go through and he has opened so many for you all. Bo is one heck of a survivalist and with you and so many others praying, he will be strengthened. I pray for total functions of all organs as his body heals. Hold Onto Hope!!!!

Hi Bo!
It's Brian's Mom again.
I know that when you were a little boy, your Mom told you "don't pee in bed!", but it's okay this time, so pee away!
Keep getting really, really mad about cancer and raise your blood pressure!
I bet you never even dreamed that people would ever pray to God that you would pee in bed or raise your blood pressure!
Our thoughts and prayers are always with you.

What an inspration to read through all these and see how many people are pulling for you Bo. By far, my favorite is Brian's Mom telling you to pee in the bed and raise your blood pressure. There are two things to pray for, for sure! You are a rock Christi.

A group of us from N.C. were at the first ever lung cancer summit in Chicago and learned of Bo's transplant (Jerrold was there!). There was a lot of hope at the summit for lung cancer patients, and we are all hopeful and positive about Bo's outcomes with this second transplant. You and your family remain in our thougths and prayers as always. From your good friends at the N.C. Lung Cancer Partnership,

Still praying like crazy in Omaha! Go Bo, we know you can do it. Christi, stay strong and know that we are all there with you in spirit. Your strenght and devotion are amazing.

Read the news today that Senator Kennedy has been sent to Duke for his tumor surgery and was to undergo it today. That news just adds more confidence to our already high esteem for the facility you have chosen for treatment. I mean, any place that the Kennedy's decide to send their beloved son must have been chosen for that same reasons you chose them, the best of the best of the best...and they can afford to go anywhere! You are in amazing hands and we all are sending all our prayers your way.
