First report of the day:

Let me preface this report by saying this is the best information as Christi and Jo understand it from the doctors. There is so much information being given to them that processing and remember all the contingencies can be confusing. So, Bo’s blood pressure is beginning to stabilized somewhat. It is still fluctuating but not at the critically low levels like last night. He has begun to make urine and is not on dialysis. There is some fluid below the lung on the left side that they hope will drain naturally. This is not fluid in the lung but beneath it.

From what we gather, they will attempt to wean him off the ECMO machine sometime today. This would be a very positive step in the right direction so please continue to pray for this.

Bo is fighting and your prayers are giving him strength.

We are posting the information as we get it. Bear with us.

Brian

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

That is great news!
Bo, you are loved by so many people! It touches my heart to read all the comments. Wow...what an honor to know you.
We had a special prayer for you at my church on Friday night and every chance I get, I ask people to pray for you.
Stay strong!
Christi, I have never met you (and Addi) but you're in my prayers too.

Bo, You've almost kicked the tar out of this awful disease! You can't give up now, today shows good things coming on. Keep strong throughout today. Of all the people in the world, I have no doubt that YOU can do this!!

Also, thanks go out to Brian and Christi for keeping us informed; I'm suprised this blog hasn't crashed for all the times we all keep refreshing it!

Thanks for the update! I was moved by the folks that urged us all to get listed as orgon donors. I'm all set up! Maybe something we can all do individually this week is donate blood. Even if Bo didn't use any in his surgeries... people all over need this. Just a little action maybe that helps the bigger human family? Thanks for keeping us posted on the highs (and lows). Bombarding you with prayers and positive energy. Sarah

Christi, We are all so very proud of you for what you have done these past days. Bo is fighting the battle of his life, but you and Addi have given him the will to live and to get past these bad times. No man could have asked for a better wife than what you have been to Bo and you two are soul mates, to be sure. I know he will agree when he comes out from under sedation...which hopefully will be very soon.

Bo will pull through. Everybody keep thinking that one thought.

Today, there are 99,372 individuals just like Bo that are currently waiting for an organ donor match. If you have not done so, whether you are 18 or 65, or anywhere in between, please go to this website, double click on your state of residency, find out how, and then sign up to be an organ donor, today. Up to 50 individuals, just like Bo, could benefit from your gift of life, to save their lives.

The website is:

http://www.organdonor.gov/donor/registry.shtm

Without two caring persons who did decide to give the gift of life, Bo might not have been with us today.

My prayers and support to all of you wonderful folks! I have spoken with Mel she is keeping you in her prayers also. As a double recipient of heart lungs x2, she feels very confident about Bo going in for # 2 so early. Her situation was different and she feels this is a definite advantage! She also stated that going in for number 2 with having all the immunosupressed drugs on board is a good thing! She would love to talk with you whenever. Just let me know and I will give her Bo's cell. I felt so much better after talking with her this a.m. and wanted to share this with you!
Again, you are all remarkable!

Just wanted you to know Ive been praying for ya. Called my Granny and put her on the case today. She is in her 80's and prays about 8 hours a day, so I figured she's a good one to have. She said she was going to call her preacher too. So lots of love and prayers to you and your family.

We've found a 4' x 6' Rock Chalk Jayhawk Flag that glows in the dark and if you're not on the road to a full recovery soon, we are going to come some night and post it in your front yard for all of the world to see. Get well soon. Your friends in Kansas...we miss you.

He said to me, "My grace is enough for you, for in weakness power reaches perfection." And so I willingly boast of my weaknesses instead, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I am content with weakness, with mistreatment, with distress, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ; for when I am powerless, it is then I am strong.

Bo and Christi,

This is such good news! Bo,you are a fighter and I know Jesus is behind you. Our family sends prayers every night for you, especially 5-year old Thomas who always asks how "my very good friend Bo is." I tell him that God is healing you and that you are in his arms, being protected from all the bad germs. I know you will make it with your incredible strength.

Hey buddy,

Thought of you often today and found this verse in my reading today.

" We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed but we don't give up and quit. We are brought down, but God never abandons us. We are knocked down, but we get up again and keep on going." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

If there was ever a verse in God's Word to describe my never give up warrior friend - this is it!

Love you buddy! I'm praying you're feeling God's presence while you recover!

Bo,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, and I remain duly impressed by your amazing fight. You are incredible, and you shall prevail.

I still reflect upon how supportive you were of me as a young lawyer--even taking me to dinner on your own birthday, just so I could make contacts-- although we had no preceding personal relationship, and you knew me only as another Sigma Nu. Your graciousness has never gone unnoticed or unappreciated. I can only imagine the number of lives you have similarly touched.

Love and respect,
Trip Coyne

Brian, your work in keeping us all current means a lot to a lot of people. Thank you.
