Good Evening - We had another baby step today. Bo was able to stand today, with a little assistance. Talk about amazing. He is almost ready to start typing on his computer with one hand, so before you know it he will be an emailing fool. Bo is still a little frustrated with the trach. They pushed him to hard yesterday so today was another day of recuperation. They might take another try tomorrow, or they might just wait until Sunday. I wish Bo wouldn't be so hard on himself, he is doing to great. He doesn't really know what he has gone through, he is just aware of where he is right now. The doctors do not want to alarm him of everything else, they just want him to focus on getting better. So please pray that Bo will not be so hard on himself and has the patience to overcome this huge hump.

Christi,
We will pray that Bo will give himself time and patience. I once read a book called " The Inner Game of Tennis". I remember one part talked about not getting down on yourself when you make a bad play and also not "reading your press clippings" when you made a good play. I know these baby steps may not be fast enough for Bo, but hopefully he will begin to see they add up to big gains. We will pray that Bo will stay focussed on getting better. We will also pray for you to have the stength to be a good wife to Bo and a loving mother to Addi.
I hope you were able to find her some camps for the summer. I know having her there gives you new strenth and those hugs she gives keeps you going each day. There is nothing like the love of your child.
Take care and know you are always in our thougths and prayers.
Love,
Aunt Mary and Uncle Jeff

Thank you for the post, Christi. It means so much to me to know Bo's progress and hear about Addi and you. Happy Father's Day, Bo and to all Fathers reading this.
Love and good night,
Kay
May tomorrow be a good one.

Bo please remember that this is not about speed but recovery to full health and abundant life. I know easier said than done as I'm not in your position. Be positive and know that this is a journey that will end soon. Push but understand right know you have certain limitations. This will pass. You will be well soon. Always think positive.
God Bless

The Happy of Father's Day Bo -- nicely done. Your spirit of "get up, and get up, and get up" is inspirational! Hugs to Addi and to you Christi -- Rock On!

Bo,

It is great to hear that internal motor is still strong. You are driven and wired in ways that most people don't get. You're not getting discouraged, I'll bet you're just getting pissed. That is why you are winning this fight. Keep fighting, whenever you are not lovin' on Addi and Christi.

Also, don't expect any sympathy strokes when we golf either.

Warmest regards,

Rackman

Bo don't be so hard on yourself. you need to take time to acknowledge how great you are and how far you have come. You are so strong I wish you knew it like those of us out here in blogland do. Keep making those baby steps and soon you'll have won the race.
