Hello to All - You might guess from my delay that I do not want to type this post. I hope we can count on everyone to walk our new path with us, with love, respect and the dignity Bo deserves. Our wonderful friends and doctors came down to give us some analysis and help our decision process. With their input we have decided that Bo isn't able to continue any more treatments. At this time it might do more harm than good. So now we will start the next phase in our journey together. Bo will chose how to live his life to the fullest.
Tomorrow Bo will come home and we will have assistance in making him comfortable. I ask that you give us time to get him comfortable. I ask for time for us to adjust to our path of living life as Bo chooses. I know you all love him almost as much as I do, so we want you to come and celebrate our journey with us, but I am going to be selfish and cherish as much time as I can with him as well. I will post when we can have visitors, but please be aware that Bo cannot time your visit and he might be resting or only able to talk for 5 minutes.
I know the next question is time, how much time do we have...once again I have no answer to that. No magic crystal ball. We have now and that is more than some people will get. I think coming sooner rather than later is always best because we never know what the future will hold.
I want to thank everyone for their love and support. Our journey together is not done, I hope will never be done. I know Bo is as special to you as me.
Tonight we were watching the Jimmy V Classic and Dr. Crawford asked Bo if he remember what Jimmy V's famous saying was, Bo with his quick wit said, "Go Tarheels", hehehe, Actually is was "Never Give Up, Never Give Up," and that is what we will do.
Love to All
Christi, Bo and Addi

We will continue to pray for continued strength and peacefulness for all of you in the next part of your journey. Bo, you are an amazing fighter, and Christi, you are an amazing and strong woman. We are so far away, but if we can do anything for you, let us know and we will do it in a heartbeat.
Sending love and strength your way,

Bo,Christi,and Addi,

I have been staring at this screen for about 20 minutes, not knowing what to say. guess I will start with thank you. Bo is one of the main reasons I took the job at FIG. He is the one that would meet me at the crack of dawn to help me when I first started, the one to go to spinning classes with me before work and motivate me to get back in shape. He gave me Bobcats tickets when I could not afford them so I could take my son to his first NBA game. He is the one that gave me the opportunity out here and believed in me when I did not believe in myself.so many things in my life are better because of Bo Johnson and my family and I are grateful that he is in our lives.
I know this is not the end, just the beginning of the second part of the journey but I wanted you all to know how much of an impact you have had on us and that even though we are not there we think about you every day and pray for every night.
We love you guys and will be there if you guys need us.

God Bless,

Jay, Melissa, and baby Abby Robinson

We continue pray and trust that a higher being will protect you all! Scott called Bo on Saturday afternoon as we were passing by your house on the way home from Virginia. We had thought stopping by would provide Bo some company. Don't worry. I had already made the excecutive decision that 3 kids and a wife were way too many people and Scott was going to stay 15 minutes without us. Scott said he and Bo could watch a second of football. Ah, men! Jo answered the phone and said Bo was sleeping. We passed on through, but know that we were thinking of Bo then, now and always.

Bo you have shown dignity and strength few will ever see and are a true champion, never setting limitations, always breaking through them. Your blog is titled Bo vs Bac, in my opinion you have won; by controlling this disease and taking charge. You won Bo, you won! And Christi, you are the definition of grace; A disposition to be generous or helpful; an excellence or power granted by God. I send so much love your way. Your family is wonderful and I am so glad to call you my friends.

Bo and Christi,
I was hoping never to have to read a post like this. So, as I hold back tears...Please let Bo know how important he's been to me while working at FIG. He's my mentor, friend, and lastly my boss. He believed that the world was at my finger tips and I could succeed when I never imagined it possible. He took time to teach me, make me better at my job (and as a person) and to never let go of my goals/dreams. Oh yeah, and he can joke around like no other! :) I owe him so much and will always be eternally grateful to him! :) I will continue to pray and wish for a miracle! Christi, you are an inspiration to all of us out here! I love you both!

Bo and Christi,

I was just given word of your most recent developments and am so sadden with the turn of events. I am living overseas and as such have been a bit out of the loop and wish desperately so, that I could come by to pay you three a visit. I know that is selfish in some ways being that this time is most deservingly your own but I do hope that you know how well loved you are. I am the world's worst at reaching out as often as I should but please know that you and Bo are never far from my mind. I work closely with many charity organizations here in London, so I am constantly reminded of all those close to me that have been effecting by cancer. I have never met you Christi but hope to one day and am so grateful Bo has you in his life and of course Addi. I send all of my best wishes and hopes to you three. Please let me know if there is ever anything that I can do.

Warm regards,

The beauty and grace of your entire family never ceases to amaze me. We pray now for quality of life; special times with those you love; and, as always with hopeful faith, for strength and miracles.

Bo, you are a valiant warrior. You are fighting the ultimate battle not only for yourself, but for your Love and your baby girl. Your strength and determination has humbled us all.

Christi, I'll say it again. Your's is the most graceful, giving, and loving soul I've had the honor of becoming acquainted with. Take comfort that you are not alone and that there is a collective of souls all over the country (and perhaps even the world) that are beside you as you walk this path.

Addi, your daddy and mommy are very special people. Know that they will be watching over you always. They hold you close in their love and fight every day to make your world the best place it can be.

Sending you all prayers and surrounding you with love.

We will pray for God's comfort during this time. I can't believe we are to this point, when he seemed to be doing so well just a few months ago.
If there is anything we can do, please let us know!! I know we can never quite understand why events occcur in our life that cause us to question God.
I always hold on to one scripture during various trial's in life.
Romans 8:23.And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has promised us.
24.Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to this freedom. For if you already have something, you don't need to hope for it.
25.But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently.
26.And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
27.And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.
28.And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Bo,
I have not seen you in years, but have been closely following your story and am heartbroken that such a young, vibrant man like yourself has had to endure such an unthinkable experience. It is hard to know what to say in a situation like this, however, I know one thing for certain. Your strength is unbelievable, your attitude is amazing and your inspiration, above all else, cannot be described. I admire you so much and the way you have taken such a horrible situation and turned it around to better the lives of others without an ounce of selfishness or pity. You are a true inspiration to me and to everyone. Christi- you are an amazing wife, mother and person and I only hope that I would have a fraction of your strength if ever faced with such a challenge. My prayers are fully with you and your family and I wish you peace and understanding during this next chapter. My God be with you, Bo and your precious Addi throughout the coming journey.

Bo and Christi,

I remember when I started at FIG I always heard people talking about what a wonderful family you had and how inspiring you are. I kept hearing, “Bo this…” and “You have to meet Bo. He’s hysterical!” But sadly I wasn’t able to get to know you as much as I wanted to before you had your transplants, chemo, etc.
When you came back I tried my best to say “Hey” and talk a little but I knew, from what I heard that you were busy, busy! I hope you fight through this next battle and everyone keeps their head up. I would love to have more time to get to know the Bo everyone talks about.
I sent a prayer request to my church, Mint Hill Baptist, and to my surprise our pastor knows you! Pastor Lee Proctor say’s he met you about 10 years ago and will continue to pray for you. I pray every night as well.

Thanks for the updates Christi!

God bless,

Christi,
I am unspeakably sad and broke into tears the moment I read this, but amazed as always by your profound eloquence and grace. I know there are no guarantees, and I know tomorrow's not promised, but you are so right that now is more than some people get- more than a lot of people get, actually. The kind of love you and Bo have is inspiring- to many, many people, and truly a divine gift that cannot be forgotten or replaced.

- I will continue to hope and pray for the three of you, and just want to say how much I loved the Jimmy V line story. Only Bo would make that "go tarheels"-that is just 100% Bo, through and through. In all my memories of Bo from high school, he is wearing either his HHS sweatshirt or a carolina sweatshirt, tank or tee, depending on the season... grinning a mile wide and saying something crazy. I can see by all these posts how much his spirit has affected so many other people through the years as well, and for me he will always be one of my first friends i made in NC, and his gregariousness and insistence I not give up on a new hometown is probably the only reason I made other friends. He dragged me out of my house and made sure I went to football games, pep rallies, etc and met the other kids...and because he was so friendly and outgoing, and knew everyone already- him taking me under his wing helped me find a new home in NC. I know this is long, and I'm sorry to prattle on-- just wanted to share a little, and of course let you know again how much I'm thinking of you three. I LOVE YOU, BO!!!!! Christi, you are my new hero, and Addi: you have 2 very special parents, both of whom love you more than anything, and always will. No matter what.
All my love, and hope and prayer,
Catie

Having known you and your family for 6 yrs now, I just feel blessed and so honored as you are so amazing and strong. You have inspired so many people and have always shown such grace and strength through such a tough time. I remember when my Husband was disgnosed with Kidney cancer 2 yrs ago, Jo and Bo were the 1st people I ran to and they both cried with me and were so kind in just letting me ramble on endlessly. They could understand and it was really nothing compared to Bo's situation but they never made me feel that way. Christi always made a point as well to ask how we were. It meant so much. I love you guys. You are truly an inspiration to so many people I hope you know that. Many thoughts, prayers and hugs are being sent your way for you and your entire Family during this time. You were put on this earth to be with each other and I know that you will always be. I am always here for you. Please NEVER hesitate to ask. Also Bo THANK YOU for giving me hope and support when my own dad was diagnosed with cancer. I will always to try to follow your motto you said to me, Mindy Love and Live hard and the everything will be right......Thank you Johnsons! I Love you! Mindy Holt

I'm still at a loss for words, but I echo the sentiments of everyone who has posted before me. I love you Bo Johnson. You are my inspiration. I cannot thank God enough for bringing you into my life.

The first time I met Bo was in my "ambush" interview. I had no idea that I would be in the room with everyone in management. I was so nervous and said something insanely stupid and accidentally cussed. I thought that was it. No job, but Bo just laughed at me and gave me a wink. I calmed down after that and here I am 3 years later...

Bo I love that you're so proud of being Irish. I love your dedication to the Tarheels. I love how you think Notre Dame winning is good for the country even if you don't cheer for us ;) I love your enthusiasm, your big heart, your dedication to what is truly important. I love you Bo. So so so much. You've made me a better person.

Christy you are amazing. Absolutely amazing. Much love to you and Addi-girl as well. Emily
