Correction from Sunday night:

Overall winner from the golf outing was Scott Lee. (Middle name Adam?) :)

Food Report:

Morning - had gluten free cereal and rice milk, fruit, and shake
Lunch - 2 turkey sandwiches and fruit, water
Dinner - typical after chemo meal from Wendy's (Frescata sandwich, blueberry shake from DQ, chicken strips)

After the first chemo, I stopped at Wendy's for food. Since I did not get sick, this is a tradition. I will do the same after every chemo.

I had chemo again today. So far, just a little tired. I am going to do a meeting for FIG tomorrow, and I hope we will have 100 people there. I hope I am not too tired. Chemo went fine. The doctors and staff at Duke are so helpful. I would also like everyone to pray for something that I have not talked about. Basically the chemo is working as of now. Everyone knows that at some point, the cancer will learn to fight the chemo. Once that happens, it will be up to the Tarceva. I will take that alone. I want you to pray that the Tarceva works to manage this like a chronic disease. I feel that if I can hold on 5 years, they will have some pretty amazing stuff out there to keep it a manageable disease. Don't forget Mike D., Suzi, and others.... There are a lot of people that need prayers.

Sorry this is short, but I am tired.

Bo,

Only someone who has, or has had cancer, can know what you are going through. I and many others admire you for not only how you are facing this challenge, but also for the positive role model you have become for many other individuals who are also currently dealing with cancer in their lives.

Thank you for sharing your life with those of us across America and in other lands who read your blogspot daily, and please be aware that a life, or lives, may be saved in the years ahead by individuals who do make positive lifestyle changes, eat just a little bit healthier, or go to the doctor more often, because of you.

As you well know, the bottom line is any cancer can be completely cured, if it is caught and treated soon enough. Everyone reading this blogspot needs to think about that and to act accordingly. If not for themselves, for their families.

Keep up the good work and know that you are making a difference in many, many ways. Again, thanks for taking the time to share each day of your life with us during this very difficult time for you and your family.

All of us who work with Bo on a daily basis are amazed, inspired, and awed by how he handles the day to day issues of work and family let alone fighting cancer. NAFA is truly grateful and lucky that he serves us unselfishly and with the same humor and energy that he has always brought to life. Bo - we think of you daily and know that you can beat this!
