Hello Everyone - Christi here
I just wanted to let you know that we heard from the Transplant Coordinator and we got the information we thought we would here. More testing...it isn't a no, but a little frustrating that they whole time we were up there everyone kept asking, "Why are you not having a PET scan?" This is the most typical scan to detect cancer and to see if it has spread elsewhere in the body. So guess what, in 2 weeks, (much to Bo's displeasure of waiting 2 weeks) we go up there for that scan. If that comes back negative (which we believe it will) then we will have one other test to perform to make sure cancer hasn't spread. The waiting period sort of stinks, but I perform to think that maybe God is giving us 2 weeks to enjoy life as we know it before our world gets rocked with the transplant that is going to happen. We can take 2 weeks as a family and play, play, play.
Speaking of playing, Addi is becoming one of the funniest kids I know. First she hero worships her friend Peyton...that could be an understatement. But one of her new things now is referring to Bo and I as the king and queen. (She is the princess) I cannot complain because heck I am a queen, but everyone morning when I get her from bed she says, "Mommy I need the king" Bo's ego doesn't need to be fed anymore than it already is...she also just started to referring to us as Joseph and Mary. I know odd little girl and I need to check into what they are teaching her at preschool, it is a church run program and at Christmas time she did love the manager scene, but that might be a little much. I will stick with the queen.

So for now from the Queen and her Princess
Love to all

Bo,

I rush into things w/out thinking most of the time but it sounds as if they (who have done oh so many lung TXP's in the past) would know to ask for a PET scan to make sure no lymph nodes are involved. I think they are hoping your body will make the decision for them by spreading outside the lungs. If they shut the doors maybe you can take all the test / test results out West at least we know they will TXP us.

Addi is so cute, that has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard!

As for Bo, we will continue to pray for you! Not a day goes by we don't think of you and your family. Enjoy playing these next 2weeks. Sounds like you might stay busy with the princess!
God has taken care of you thus far, and he will continue!

Love to all!!!

Bo-
Not surprising at ALL that you are surrounded by a QUEEN and a PRINCESS-You have ALWAYS been a KING! Glad to hear out of the three answer options, that "more tests" (albeit answer preference #2)is the one that you have received. I keep you and your family in my prayers every night. Sure wish I could swing coming to the benefit on Saturday. I know it will be FUN and you will be surrounded by LOVE-
I tell you what-this blog that youve created-well, WOW, it inspires me. Its easy to get caught up in the bad that goes on in the world. The outpouring of love, support and the inspiration that youre story instills in people is proof positive theres far more LOVE and GOOD in this world thatn bad. Have a fantastic two weeks of PLAY, PLAY, PLAY with your royal girls-yall have a blast in Margaritaville on Saturday-I'll be enjoying this SNOW up here in Asheville!
Take care-
Kathleen

BO-LYFIELD,

The man up stairs does not give us things that we can't handle. It's hard to remember that when things are tough. This is no different. You will handle this one and many after. I think it is BS that they did not do the PET scan while you were there, but it is what it is. I feel pretty confident, as should you, that 2 weeks will bring good news. You have CRUSHED all the odds so far, time to crush another one. Keep your head up, sorry I can't be there to drink a mexican beer with you this weekend.
Holla,
Jay R

You can do it! Bo, two weeks wait for the possibility for a new life. Who wouldn't sign on for that? You go!
Re: The princess, etc. I do believe little girls at three or so just become princesses and truly believe they are. I have three granddaughters who have walked around with a doll and called it Jesus for awhile. One frequently even put a scarf on her head to be Mary. Imagine how upset she was when she saw someone else in church at Christmas playing Mary. Don't you just love their world. We adults need more fantasy. We have plenty of reality. That's one of the reasons we love to be around kids. Here's to a little fantasy every day!
