Good Evening - Today Bo made baby steps in the right directions (again). He walked farther than he has before, amazing. He did tell me that PT lied to him on the distance and he wasn't to happy about that, but Bo might have needed some negotiations to spark his day up some. When I left to go home Bo had done 3 trach trials, 20 minute minimum and still had 3 more to go. They are getting him along nicely. His doctor stopped by and satisfied with this progress. Of course, he wanted him off the vent, but I think he was alright with the method they were using. Interval Training is what he called it.
On a side note, Addi and I had a good morning. We went to the Life and Science Museum, we are now members, she loves it there. Partially because we make friends for the day and second because they have a butterfly exhibit. We certainly miss our friends at home and our great play dates, but she is such a trooper and just makes friends at the parks. I did find some great help during the days to babysit her when I spend time with Bo. Thank you everyone for your assistance, and I will still call some of your for help. Right now I am just adjusting to it being me and Addi, but soon enough we will get a grip and hang out with friends.
Take care everyone and sleep tight.
Christi and Addi

Christi,
It sounds like you and Addi and Bo are getting into a routine. It will help make things seem more normal for all of you. I am glad Addi is adjusting to her new adventure.
Please tell Bo how impressed we are with his progress. We all wish we could help him, but he is the one that has to do all the hard work. Please let him know we are in his corner. We are cheering and sending positive thought each and every day his way.
We will continue to keep him in our prayers and to send love and hugs to all of you.
Love,
Aunt Mary and Uncle Jeff

Never ever feel silly about posting the same good news called progress. The alternative is not what we want. I'll take same old, same old any day when it is good news about the three of you!
Love,

It is SO thrilling to hear every day's progress as Bo works so hard to come home to you and Addi. Christi, you are my hero of the day! I sit here in Omaha reading the way you handle all that is being thrown at your family and am humbled. It takes a lot of strength just to do the mildly tough stuff, like getting up and working out in the morning, or getting the energy up to go play instead of collapse on the couch... in the midst of all that life is handing you, you still take the time to entertain, educated, and mold that beautiful little mind that is in your care. Addi couldn't ask for a better mommy (or daddy of course). Keep it up and draw strenght and energy from all of us around you who are sending you and Bo love and prayers all the time.

Keep up the hard work Bo, by the time they finish with you you'll be in shape for the best golf game of your life!

Hi Bo,

I worked with you (through CCP) for a short period and was just checking out the FIG site and found my way to this blog.
Boy, was I surprised to read about all that's going on!
Even though we didn't work together that often, I think I got to know you well enough to know that if anyone on this planet can pull through all this and beat it...it's you!
You're one of the few people I've met where your personality and determination made me say to myself "There's a guy who will succeed at anything he tries."
This is no different!

Take care and well wishes.

Christi, Know that your updates will never seem silly, every day is an inspiration really. And I'd say every step in the right direction is great news to all of us who are rooting for Bo. Glad that you and Addi are getting to have some fun! So happy that Bo is moving, that has got to seem so unbelievable after all he's been through to this point. Take care, Kristen

Hi, several of us have been reading your blogs and each day we are saying as many prayers as possible. I am an Alpha Xi sister that went to school with Caroline. We will continue to keep her as well as you and your family in our thoughts. Keep the faith! God Bless!

You and Bo are doing great. Keep up the good work. I check the blog every day even if I don't get a chance to post and I never think your updates are silly. Stable is good and in my *old* age I've decided that boring old normal routine is for me. Soon you all will be back in Charlotte and back to your routine too. Keep fighting, and go see more butterflys at the museum.
