I feel silly sometimes putting the same thing every day, but I learned early that stable is good and consistency is better. Bo is doing better, a little more sore today but good. He tired a little today walking, but I can imagine his legs are more sore from yesterday and him long walk. He did almost the same distance, just a little less. But on the up side he was off the trach more today. The got him off 6 times 15 minutes each. So about an 1 1/2. Awesome, I did threaten to have his PT from Charlotte come up and give him a hard time if he didn't get his act together and try his hardest every time. He was asking for Respiratory then....I needed to send a big THANK YOU to my parents. My Mom left today, she has been taking care of Addi and me since almost the first phone call. So thank you, we miss you already. Also a big thanks to my Dad for working things out so she could be here, we hope to see you all real soon.
Take care
Christi and Addi

Hey Christi,
Its not silly! Any time you take to post a message is never silly. Besides, you've earned the right to be silly if you wanna be. :-)
Its nice to hear Bo is making steady positive progress. We all keep checking in and look forward to each post.

Your mom and your whole family are such good people it does not surprised at all your mom was such a big help. I am so glad for you both. Again my recovery was not quite the same as bo's was but it sure did take awhile, or so I thought at the time. Every time PT came I would want to run from day one. It lead to a lot of swearing, not at others but at myself in frustration, as I could not get back to "normal", whatever that is, fast enough. But looking back now it was amazing how fast it went when you think about where I was and Bo is against even bigger odds and even I must say I read the blog and just have to say "that is amazing" at least once a day. I know it does not seem like it but a year from now you will look back and think about how far you have come and how fast it actually seems. Though I know in the middle of it the hours drag on and it can't go fast enough to return back to normal and do the things we love like being with the women in our lives that make us want to run and not walk. I know you know the power of the human soul and how that is the one thing cancer, surgery, hospitals can never take. You both are a constant inspiration, if even for the day to day battle to get 5 more steps than the day before. Lawrence and the Allen's wish you the best and know someday soon you will be running again... BTW think I might get my dose of morgan this weekend and see both your brothers! Concrete mayhem!

Christi,
I know it meant alot for your Mom to be with you during this time. As a mother, I know how hard it must have been for her to leave you and Addi.
Bo continues to add up those baby steps. He has come so far in the last week. We will continue to cheer for him in Atlanta.
You are all in our thoughts and prayer everyday.
Love,
Aunt Mary and Uncle Jeff

Bo/Christi,
Bo, you are doing a wonderful job. Hang in there, you knew it was going to be a tough road ahead. You are making great progress. I know PT is very hard and exhausting but you are a very strong person and can handle just about anything. Don't make the crew from Charlotte come over there and get you going, you don't want that:) Try as hard as you can to get off the vent. I can't imagine what it is like to have new lungs but they are new and you need to put them to work. Hang in there and keep your head up, as well as your spirits. You are doing an awesome job.

Christi, I don't know how you find the time or energy to keep us updated on Bo's progress, but we all thank you for doing it!

Be sure to tell Bo that Paul Pierce was a Jayhawk (Scot Pollard too!) :-)
