My deepest apologize for not posting all day. You all care so much, the least I could is post, but in my defense Duke's Internet was down all day. We had a good day. Bo moved to the chair for about 5 hours and breathed really well. They are slowly trying to build up his strength again. Lying there for as long as he has, has really taken a toll on his muscles, but they are now really starting to work on him. So hopefully by the time he comes off the vent, he will be strong enough to walk out. I really enjoyed today as well. We had a great nurse that let me sit with Bo most of the afternoon. It was nice (wonderful) to sit with him and just watch TV together. I got to see him sleep peacefully. It reminded me a Addi sleeping, one of those things that makes your heart sing. Even as I type right now I can feel my heart pounding. When you love someone, make sure you love the completely.
His hand to looking much better as well. They dressed the bandages again and his hand still is a complete blister, but it is pink blister and not black (except for the tip of his pinky) Thank you for all the prayers. His kidney levels are lowering slowly, along with his liver levels. Things are "trending" in the right direction. Small steps, huge prayers and we can make the journey.
Love to all and again sorry for only one post today
Christi

Hi Christi and Family,
We continue to pray for Bo, you, and the family and to sing God's praise everywhere we go for the miracle He is working. We are so glad to hear good things, and we appreciate your keeping us posted. Getting to the computer is a race when we all get home to see how you are doing. Keep enjoying every minute with Bo, and tell him how all of the Pee Dee and Grand Strand are praying for you all.
Love,
The Berrys

Christi,

I know being able to sit with Bo brought you renewed energy. And to see him making such progress and to bask in the peace and love of watching him sleep peacefully. That is definitely love.

Also being able to escape the Twight Zone (the waiting room)where all things normal seem to have escaped (slow motion)had to be a relief.

Bo, When you awake tomorrow, I know you be out in full force to get to a point where you again can be "in charge". Work hard and remember you are not alone. Let someone else help you for a while.

May the prayers of your Wife, Daughter, Family, and Friends be your strength in your time of need. God is listening.

Love to you both,

Joyce

more happy dancing in Omaha! Larry is actually in Colombia, not that far from Cornelius. Originally we had hoped that he would be able to drive up to see you all. But, the great thing is that the next time he is your direction, he'll be able to visit a recovered and cancer free Bo and a very very happy family!

Sending you all our prayers and love as you continue to heal and gain strength. Now Christie, you can start to rest a little better I'm sure.

Hugs and love!

Christi,
I was just checking the blog before going to bed. What great news! All these baby steps are adding up. I am so glad you and Bo has some much needed time together. You are his rock right now. I hope you know we all appreciate your love for him and the strength you have. You are so amazing. Please remember to take care of you, too.
Again, we so appreciate the update each day. Don't worry about when you do it, we are just glad to know how you both are doing when you get the time to write.
We will continue our prayers for Bo and you. Remember, baby steps added up to full steps.
We love you both,

I'm guessing spending time with you did more for Bo than any meds the doctors could come up with.

Glad to hear it was such a good day.

Christi that is AWESOME!!! I am so glad Bo and you got to hang out and just be around eachother... He is so strong, and such a fighter. I know it's got to be hard to see him frustrated, but what a blessing to see him frustrated at the same time. You are such a rock for everyone, but remember take care of you as well.
I love you so much!!

Hey Bo and Christi,
Love to hear about the amazing progress! How awesome it is to hear about this miracle unfolding. Christi,I am sure everyone reading would agree you do not have to be on the horn at all times. We are fortunate and priveleged to be getting these updates. So happy to hear you were able to spend more time with Bo.I just hope they brought you in a good chair. Duke is the Best of the Best with patient care, but I am sorry the food is horrible and the chairs are hard! Girl I give you high five on endurance. Bo has to know that love runs deep at this point!!
God Bless both of you today with more healing and patience and endurance!

Dear Christi,
Our prayers are going up daily for Bo and you & Addi too. I read your blog every morning and think and pray for you all througout the day.
Reading about Bo's journey truly humbles and brings perspective and appreciation to my every day.

Christi,

Libby and I as well as many others at CCP have been following the blog daily and you, Bo and the family have been in our thoughts and prayers since this started. I have not written until now as I have not known what to say but now I do.

YeeHAA!, that is amazing! I can’t believe how strong Bo is. The relief is wonderful for us and I know you and your family must feel like you can all breathe again.

We care for all of you deeply, please let me know if we can help.

Message for Bo...C-Murder says he can't wait for us to get our lovely little girls together and watch them play, eat some of Moms fried chicken, watch the Panthers vs. Chiefs, talk about C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R-S w/ MadMike, and smack that white cover off that little white ball. Get well soon...your doing one hell of a job.

Christi,
Tell Bo I said to try to be calm and he will get off the vent sooner. If he panics it will drag out. Because when he panics his respiratory rates goes up, oxgen goes down and it makes it hard to wean. Tell him to think about something to calm him.. He can do it. Tell him "don't make me come up there". He will be off real soon..I'm praying...
If you need to talk, my phone number is 704-506-9832 (cell). work is 704-384-5584. I am here for you..
