Here is an update from Tuesday:

I tried to switch biking times from after work to before work. Today, it rained in Cornelius until 12:00 pm or so. So no dice. Got up and had to be at work for the advisory board meeting. Everything went well today. Heard from a few people that did not know. Ron Bradley called me and was so nice. Rick Swann called me as well. I forget that people can still be shocked. Allianz sent me this really cool present yesterday I forgot to mention. It is a Carolina Ball that all of them signed, and it came with a picture of all of them by the Allianz sign in MN holding up their white cancer bracelets. It was really thoughtful. ING sent me a Play Station Portable and a game to use at Duke while I am sitting around doing chemo which was really nice. Basically, it really made me know that people are out there pulling for me. So many people have been so nice.

I had this whole wheat cereal thing morning and turkey bacon to do something a little different. I also had a smoothie. It was good. I forgot my medicine today so I had to take it at lunch. I was really upset I forgot. I had lunch at the club and had chicken breast and salad. Tonight I had salmon again with salad and potatoes.

Tonight I did 12 miles on the bike. I also played with Addi some today even though I am afraid she is sick. Couldn't help it. She is so awesome. I made the promise to her that I would walk her to kindergarten several weeks ago. I am doing all this stuff for Christi and Addi. A little for me, but mostly for them. Thanks for reading....

Hey, Bo. Just want you to know you have another fan. I'll be cheering for you from the Middle of Nowhere, West Virginia.

I met Brian, in Durham, through my son and his wife, and went to his Super Bowl party the year of Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction. So that's the connection. Wishing you and your doctors all the best.

First of all, the PSP (Playstation Portable, I know I am a nerd) is to be used while at Duke and not while at work sitting behind your desk pretending to be busy. ha-ha.

On a more serious note, I am glad to see you have decided to die of old age and not some punk-ace chest cold. I look forward to interrogating Addi's first date with you when he comes to pick her up at your house. I look forward to playing golf in Scotland and crossing "the bridge" with you. And more importantly I look forward to being there with you while you kick the snot out of BAC.

Here is an excerpt from a book I thought you would like that motivates me every morning when I read it: "In the Orient young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner. Each is brought to the ring and allowed to attack a picador who pricks them with a lance. The bravery of each bull is then rated with care according to the number of times he demonstrates his willingness to charge in spite of the sting of the blade. Henceforth will I recognize that each day I am tested by life in like manner. If I persist, if I continue to try, if I continue to charge forward, I will succeed. I will persist until I succeed.

Hey Bo! from OMaha! Larry shared your blog with me. What an awesome thing to do. It sure helps to have one place for everyone to get updates. We all care but know it's hard to keep everyone updated and talking about it can be a pain.

Addi is such a beautiful little angel! This is the first picture we've seen of her. ADORABLE! and definitely daddy's girl.

We've only met in person twice, Bo. But I really enjoyed getting to know you and Christi and hope that we'll have many more opportunities to sit around and have fun. Larry and I still dream about the day we'll be your neighbors. We LOVE everything about where you live and the people who surround you.

Please know that we think of you all the time and you and your entire family are in our prayers. There is an extension of your cheerleading team here in Nebraska sending out shouts for you all the time... "GO BO!"

Oh.. and is there any way that Christi could start a cooking school? I'm such a lousey cook and would love to be able to cook for Larry like she's cooking for you. What a wonderful woman!

Love to all!
