Just a quick update. I did chemo yesterday and feel pretty good. I have not gotten sick yet or anything, so I think we will be good to go on this drug as well. I do feel like I am breathing better, but I am not sure if that is wishful thinking or really happening.

Thanks you for all of the notes you leave. It makes me feel really good that people are actually reading this. It is important for anyone that has a problem to be able to chat about it, and having you read it makes it better for me. Thanks!

Just a quick update, more later....

Great news Bo!! I had 3 treatments of Alimta and tolerated it very well. A friend of mine has been on it for almost 2 years with NO side effects and he's still stable! I pray it is so for you too! I start a clinical trial on Monday....yikes!

With HOPE,

As human beings we all strive to anticipate life challenges so that we can plan and be prepared. If it is possible for anyone to be prepared for anything, you are the "man". I admire your loving determined spirit. My prayer for you is to find some silence in your beingness if for even a moment, to experience the depth/richness of your own soul, (so very old and rich with wisdom.) We are all present with you in that moment. I hope you can feel it. Much love for you and your family!

Bo, the key word is BELIEVE, BELIEVE, BELIEVE. You said yourself in the beginning you were going to stay positive. Remember Miracles do happen as long as you believe they will. I have to tell you between what you have gone through and my friend up here in NJ, Rich Fritzky (www.fritzky.com) I do believe in miracles. When you start feeling down, check his website, you will feel inspired at the very least.

Bo-
Kathleen Ausley here. Remember me?JUST heard this news. The blog was the first thing I am reading on your website. I swear, Bo Johnson, IF ANYONE on this earth has the HEART and SOUL to be THE statistic that beats the odds IT IS YOU! Please know, that from here on-YOU and your family are in my prayers. My very best friend is a breast cancer survivor-SHE is my success story to share-they are MANY out there...I know that yours will be one as well. She went through all her treatments sporting a "Life is Good" baseball cap...such a truthful and simple slogan that company came up with?!? You continue to take life by the ______s and enjoy every moment!
I will move on now to see how I can help your cause. Thinking about you every day and remember- we've got a twenty year class reunion to start planning. Dang, we're OLD...Love you Bo!

Bo, We are thinking about you daily and praying for you. The lung transplant is great news and if there is anything I have learned from you since we met, is that you have the spirit to fight and push forward. Keep doing that! We love you!

Hi, Bo! It's Sharen from your MSM class. Not sure if you got a copy of the graduation talk, but I mentioned you, your incredible leadership, and Addi's Cure - thought you might like to hear it. Let me know. You're awesome, my friend.

Bo,
Praying the doctor finds ONLY reasons to move ahead with the transplant. You are an inspiration to everybody to live each day to its fullest, and never take anything for granted. Hope the chemo killed lots of bad cells and in turn, leaves your lungs and alveoli more room to expand with precious oxygen. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
