Sorry for the slow post, it was to much for me to bring the computer and Addi to the hospital during Bo's surgery. He made it through and the doctor is optimistic that Bo will be able to take the swallow test tomorrow and start drinking small amounts of clear liquids. Yeah! He said the procedure went well and Bo handled it like a trouper. (They did say this time Bo wasn't a cheap drunk this time, he tolerance is getting stronger!)
Addi and I stayed to see him and he was resting well on the vent. Now the "tough" part starts and tomorrow they will start taking Bo off the vent full time. I hate that he is drugged up for his final night on the vent....Please pray for him to have strength these next couple days and take on his greatest fear, sleeping without the vent...
Love to All
Christi, Addi and Bo

So happpy to hear that surgery went well. I know with your courage, strength and positive attitude you will help Bo in overcoming his fears of going off the vent. Good things are happening and better ones are yet to come.

Christi, your successes seem small, but added together are huge - it is truly a miracle to come to this point. You will look back on this as time well spent once home. I know you are anxious to resume a normal life like so many of us enjoy. Your strength and fortitude are to be admired and envied. I don't know if I could do it. Please share my best with Bo. I am so happy you are to this next stage in recovery. My best and love, Jeanne T.

Thanks so much for the updates. You all are such troopers. It is usually the last hill that is the toughest, but if you keep one foot in front of the other you guys can make it through this. We love you and our thoughts and prayers will be sent your way as we all make our way to CT (by land and by sea).

Great news you have made over another hill. And bo with that last hill it may seem like a mountain but keep in mind that we are all here to support you and that you have 2 great cheerleader right there by your side. I know that you can make the climb. You are capable of doing anything you set your mind to(Example Christi)
We love you. And Christi you are amazing but you already know that the strengh you have show threw all of this. Keeping Bo's spirits up and tackling Addi and her advertures. One hill at a time. I am just glad that you have had such good support out there. Thank you to everyone that has help her threw all of this. As her Big sister it is hard to be here and feel like ther is nothing I can do. So thank thank. As always love and prayer and hope to see you soon..
